In June, Herongrange Group, had our application to become UKCMA (United Kingdom Crowd Management Association) members approved. After applying for a membership to the prestigious association, we were under inspection from the UKCMA to evaluate whether the strict criteria and vetted standards were being met. Consideration by the UKCMA goes into every application, and Herongrange was approved and awarded our membership based on our practice being aligned with the expectations of the UKCMA.
The UKCMA was formed in 2001 to unify the security industry in their mission to bring high standards to crowd management. The association aims to lead the way in setting the standards of best practice and industry guidelines for crowd management. As a member of UKCMA, Herongrange will be alongside other leading security and event management companies who are a part of the innovation towards better crowd management systems across the industry. Accredited members will attend at least two meetings a year, one being their AGM, and gain the opportunity to learn from industry leaders, share views with fellow businesses, and influence the wider sector. Members also get insights to the latest legislations and commercial information that will impact their crowd managing systems.
Herongrange adds the UKCMA membership to a long list of accreditations. The UKCMA is consulted by one of our existing accreditors, the SIA (Security Industry Authority), amongst other leading organisations such as The Events Industry Forum, Police and Security Working Group, Skills for Security, and more. With the influence of these major bodies in the events and security sector, the UKCMA bring the best new policies and criteria to the table for companies to rise to. With this, we can progress and advance our crowd management processes to keep up to date with quality procedures and grow with the industry as a whole.
