One of Herongrange Group’s specialties is providing innovative, acute site monitoring security services. The sensitivity, and accuracy, of their software was proven this week when Herongrange were alerted to a mischievous moose farting on site.
George Leslie Ltd specialise in water projects, and Herongrange are proud to have been supplying security solutions to their premises for over five years on project such as Aberfoyle Pipebridge, Katrine Aqueducts, and Water of Leith. Most recently, Herongrange’s Manned Guarding division have been operating at their Portobello site, providing CCTV surveillance and monitoring through their control centre. It was this control centre that was alerted to the barely audible sound of a local moose breaking wind near to the site.
Herongrange’s expert mobile response team were despatched immediately to identify the trigger, assess the threat, and respond to the situation if necessary, however they arrived to find the moose minding his own business, and looking rather pleased with himself.

Threats to site security can strike at any time, day or night, and in any form – however unexpected. Herongrange are proud to report that the moose in question may have put their CCTV capabilities to the test, but that the current standing is now Moose 0 – Herongrange 1.
